Prayers

God, give us grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, Courage to change the things which should be changed, and the Wisdom to distinguish the one from the other.

G
od, give us grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, Courage to change the things which should be changed, and the Wisdom to distinguish the one from the other.

Living one day at a time, Enjoying one moment at a time, Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace, Taking, as Jesus did, This sinful world as it is, Not as I would have it, Trusting that You will make all things right, If I surrender to Your will, So that I may be reasonably happy in this life, And supremely happy with You forever in the next. Amen.

Early this morning (20120822 082327) I received a text-message of the shorted and common version of this untitled prayer (commonly called as The Serenity Prayer) by Reinhold Niebuhr.
Lord grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
It was one therapeutic prayer that I must say, somehow banishes the worries I felt...

20120829 And there I was again - unable to control my temper and somehow I felt like it's getting the best of me. I always find myself in the position where I tend to either break down or freak out and always end up on the latter. Lord grant me peace that I may calm my emotions and find the right words to say and to speak in serene silence should I not; bless me with your gift of healing that I may use myself as your instrument to also heal others that are troubled...
